Despite 21 points from freshman Petra Glaser, the UNLV women's basketball team suffered its first loss of the season Wednesday night, falling to Arizona 91-74 in Tucson.
The Wildcats (4-1) turned it on late in the first half, causing multiple turnovers and exploding to close the half on a 10-0 run for a 48-34 lead.
UNLV (5-1) never recovered, getting no closer than 10 in the second half.
UNLV's Constance Jinks finished with 12 points in just 18 minutes. Also in double figures for UNLV were Linda Frohlich with 11 and Dayna Gambill with 13.
The game marked a homecoming for two Rebels. UNLV head coach Regina Miller was an assistant coach at Arizona in 1986-87, and Rebels assistant coach Brenda Pantoja was the Wildcats' starting point guard from 1992-96.
