About 150 workers at a Levi Strauss distribution center in Henderson have voted to be represented by the Union of Needletrades, Industrial and Textile Employees (UNITE) for another three years.
The new contract includes a 3 percent wage increase for each year of the agreement and health benefits including medical insurance, new vision benefits and increased pension benefits.
The contract also provides for a new ergonomics program, new stress management programs and new job protections to be implemented should plant closures and downsizing occur, and an expanded company educational assistance program including tuition reimbursements.
