ATLANTIC CITY -- A woman from Greece was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday in a casino, and the alleged thieves were caught within hours, police said.
Zafiria Vrochopoulou, 50, of Athens, was using a pay telephone at Resorts Atlantic City about 12:15 p.m. when she was confronted by the two, who threatened her with a gun, police Sgt. Michael Tullio said.
She surrendered her purse, which contained an undetermined amount of money, and the two fled through a pedestrian bridge that links Resorts with Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort next door, Tullio said.
Two Philadelphia men were caught later and charged with conspiracy, armed robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon.
