Charity basketball event tips off

The Las Vegas Bandits basketball team and the Kid's Jam Foundation are hosting Kid's Jam 2000 starting tonight with a memorabilia auction and dinner at the Regent Las Vegas.

Kid's Jam 2000 is a weekend of sports and entertainment to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and area Boys and Girls Clubs.

On Friday there will be a media 3-on-3 basketball tournament at UNLV's South Gym featuring NBA players, TV celebrities and local media members. On Saturday, former and current NBA players including Robert Horry, Ron Harper, Shawn Marion, Tyrone Nesby and Andre Miller will be conducting youth basketball clinics at UNLV's South and North Gym.
