Tony Lewin has taken over as executive director of the Casino Management Association, the organization announced today.
Lewin, promotions director for Las Vegas-based Casino Journal Publishing Group, will assume his position at CMA immediately. Lewin replaces Marc Weiswasser, who resigned Aug. 1 to head the executive recruiting efforts of the Navegante Group of Las Vegas.
Lewin said his focus as CMA's top official will be to establish chapters outside the CMA's home base in Las Vegas. He's targeting Detroit, Mississippi and Atlantic City for initial expansion.
The CMA is a non-profit organization devoted to providing education and training to managers and executives in the casino industry.
