A former owner of the Tropicana Plaza strip mall sued a neighboring property, a Storage One warehouse, alleging it caused water damage to the mall.
The Priscilla A. Schwartz Living Trust is seeking compensation from Westar Development Corp. doing business as Storage One and Pecos Mini Storage Partners for water damage and repairs.
Schwartz alleged the damage occurred several times since construction began in 1996 on Storage One.
The suit said rainwater backed up into the mall at 3430 East Tropicana Ave. because of construction errors committed by the defendants.
Storage One officials could not be reached for comment.
