StumbleMarquez triumphs at Plaza

Juan Manuel Marquez pounded out a technical knockout victory over Daniel Jiminez in a featherweight bout topping a Sunday boxing card at the Plaza hotel-casino. Jimenez's corner stopped the fight after seven rounds as Marquez improved his record to 32-2. All three judges had Marquez ahead 70-63 at the time the fight was stopped. There were no knockdowns.
