Letter: Murderer Floyd has already been punished

Regarding Shirley Thomas' recent letter, "Floyd doesn't deserve pity," I want to give her and all the Sun readers something to think about.
Yes, this man did it. Did anyone say any different? NO.
Who has the right to sit in judgment over another human being? Are you God? What if this was your son? Brother? Family member? Friend?
Well, Zane Floyd may be a murderer but he only has to answer to God for his sins. He is someone's son, friend and family member.
Everyone says it couldn't happen to me, but then reality hits and it is you who is going through the same thing.
No one ever knows why, but it happens to you.
If you were in his mother's shoes, what would you want?
Why do people want to kill so much like the murderers who plague us today? Why do people want to play God with judging people? No one asked for forgiveness for him!
He, I am sure, knows he has to pay for his sins and will have to think about this every day of his life.
Isn't that punishment enough, having him sit and think forever about this tragedy?
