Trapped firefighter rescued

Firefighters had to rescue one of their own this morning after evacuating a Blockbuster video store for an electrical fire.
The fire broke out in the back closet of an electrical room at 8:25 a.m., filling the 4065 Flamingo Road building with smoke.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, according to Steve La-Sky, spokesman for the Clark County Fire Department. But one firefighter was trapped in the attic when an electrical panel blew subsequent to the initial fire.
Fearing the blast had electrified the ladder, firefighters provided oxygen to the 10-year veteran before cutting a hole in the roof and rescuing him.
