An Asian tourist is $8.7 million richer after hitting Megabucks at the Las Vegas Hilton hotel-casino early today.
The man, who wished to remain anonymous, walked away with a check for a quarter-million dollars, the first of 25 annual installments, said Connie Fox, spokeswoman for International Game Technology's IGT MegaJackpots.
No other information about the winner was available, Fox said.
The jackpot was Nevada's sixth Megabucks strike this year. It was the fifth since the world record $35 million jackpot hit at the Desert Inn resort in January.
