Robles Extra Cream Sherry
Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2000 | 9:59 a.m.
Sherry is a fortified, nonvintage wine with a rich, nutty flavor and is popular as an aperitif. The Spanish drink it obsessively with tapas, olives, nuts and cheese. This sherry, which is ready to drink now, is only a few dollars more than the popular Harvey's Bristol Cream, but is ever so much more complex and satisfying. It's smooth, rich and tinged with mild heat. It's fine on the rocks with a twist, but serious sherry drinkers are more likely to have it neat, which is how this sherry tastes best.
Available exclusively at Spirits Plus, $16.99.
