Reno’s Pioneer closed, contents to be sold

The 252-room hotel-casino has been purchased by Washoe County, which plans to raze the building to make room for a new regional justice center across the street from the existing courthouse.
The contents of the building, including gambling, restaurant and office equipment, will sold at auction scheduled Friday through Sunday.
