But airport officials said the decline wasn't unexpected. American Airlines cut 16 flights to and from the city on July 2.
Airport spokesman Adam Mayberry said the airport is slowly regaining some of that lost territory.
Since April, other airlines have replaced 34 percent of the seats lost in the American cuts, he said.
