CARSON CITY -- The state Board of Finance today set Tuesday for its meeting to consider approving $650 million in revenue bonds to finance construction of a monorail on and near the Las Vegas Strip.
The meeting will be teleconferenced (9 a.m) between Carson City and Las Vegas.
The Clark County Commission has approved the plans. And Sydney Wickliff, director of the state Department of Business and Industry, has recommended the bonds be issued.
The MGM Grand-Bally's Monorail LLC has worked for more than two years to extend the current monorail system.
The meeting in Las Vegas will be in the Sawyer State Office Building, Room 4412.
