Wayne Agapitos
Wayne Agapitos, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. A World War II Army veteran, he was born April 14, 1923, in Mason City, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; one son, David Agapitos of Norco, Calif.
Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private arrangements.
Karla Eunice Anders
Karla Eunice Anders, 47, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. A surgical technician, she was born Nov. 26, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, Richard J.; one son, Tim Hackobey of San Antonio; one daughter, Tina Cunningham of Dayton, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Iowa.
Albert Robert Baron
Albert Robert Baron, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 16, 1926, in Boston. A resident for five years, he was a retired government development manager and World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elvira C.; two daughters, Danielle Baron of Maryland and Gwendolyn Baron of Las Vegas; four sons, Spiro Alvonellos of Alabama, Tim Alvonellos and Adrian Baron, both of Las Vegas, and Patrick Detalence of Florida; and three grandchildren.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Ernie Henault
Ernie Henault, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 10, 1923, in Claremont, N.H. A resident for four years, he was a retired trainer/teacher in the printing industry, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Patti; one son, Dr. Bruce Henault of Henderson; one brother, Victor Henault of Claremont; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. services Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 3538, North Las Vegas, NV 89036-3538.
Juanita Marlatt
Juanita Marlatt, 48, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 23, 1951, San Miguel County, N.M. A resident for 30 years, she was a bakery server at Sam's Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Carrie Thaw of Woodbury, Minn., and Ashley Marlatt of Las Vegas; one son, Bobby Miller of Las Vegas; her parents, Lou Jaramillo of New Mexico and Carrie Jaramillo of Henderson; and two grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Lisa Ann Morris-Moreno
Lisa Ann Morris-Moreno, 28, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 2, 1972, in Colorado Springs, Colo. A resident for 25 years, she was a home health care nurse.
She is survived by her husband, Ricky; one daughter, Caitlyn Marie Moreno of Las Vegas; her mother, Shirley J. Morris, and one sister, Debra K. Nicholson, both of North Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 1-3 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
Payao 'PJ' Noomphrom
Payao 'PJ' Noomphrom, 49, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born May 17, 1951, in Thailand. A resident for 25 years, she was a dealer.
She is survived by one sister, Rajanee Noomphorm of Thailand.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. today, Tuesday and Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Main.
Arnold Archie Pastor
Arnold Archie Pastor, 29, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 27, 1971, in Las Vegas. A resident for eight years, he was an employee at Preferred Equities Corp.
He is survived by his parents, Arsenio M. and Lydia Pastor, and one sister, Arlynne Alido, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Luis Porras aka Jose Alava
Luis Porras aka Jose Alava, 36, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 14, 1963, in Ecuador. A resident for six months, he was a chef.
He is survived by his mother, Egda Solorzano Alava, and one sister, Cecibel Alava, both of Ecuador.
Burial will be in Ecuador. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Janis C. Sproat
Janis C. Sproat, 66, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 25, 1933, in Lima, Ohio. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired casino cashier.
She is survived by her husband, David A.; one daughter, Heather Cassella of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Anna Vencko
Anna Vencko, 103, of Henderson died Sunday in a local convalescent hospital. She was born Sept. 27, 1896, in Bayonne, N.J. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired shoemaker for a shoe manufacturer.
She is survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St., Las Vegas, NV 89121.
