Oboe subcritical experiment delayed
The Department of Energy's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory postponed Thursday's scheduled subcritical experiment named Oboe due to a technical problem with diagnostic equipment, a DOE spokesman said.
The experiment was rescheduled for today almost 1,000 feet beneath the Nevada Test Site, 85 miles northwest of Las Vegas, DOE spokesman Derek Scammell said.
Motorists can expect delays
on Rainbow Boulevard between Blue Diamond Road and Interstate 215 next week as the road is scrub sealed by Nevada Department of Transportation crews. The work will be done from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, an NDOT spokesman said. Drivers can expect delays of up to 30 minutes.
