Washoe emergency dispatch center to move
Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 | 1:55 a.m.
Commissioners say moving it from Truckee Meadows Community College to the site of a planned police and fire training center in Panther Valley will save about $760,000.
The biggest savings will be in not having to build a $600,000 water line to the college to support the facility.
On the flip side, about $100,000 more will be needed for radio transmitting equipment at the Panther Valley site.
