Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 | 10:33 a.m.

Station Casinos Inc. today announced the appointment of four managers at its Las Vegas properties, including the former general manager of the Hard Rock hotel-casino.

Jonathan Swain, who resigned from the Hard Rock earlier this month, was named vice president and general manager of Palace Station. In addition to his time at the Hard Rock, Swain has served as president of the Tropicana hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

Swain replaces Jim Hughes, who resigned from Palace Station two weeks ago to pursue other opportunities, a company spokesman said.

Station also named Stephen Arcana vice president and general manager of the Santa Fe, pending Station's acquisition of the property later this year. Arcana was most recently assistant general manager of Boulder Station.

Arcana was replaced as assistant general manager of Boulder Station by Robert Oseland. Oseland was most recently vice president of slot operations and marketing at the Bellagio.

The final appointment announced today was Mark Dunkeson, who was named vice president and assistant general manager of Texas Station. Dunkeson, the former director of food and beverage at the North Las Vegas property, was most recently the general manager of the House of Blues concert venue at Mandalay Bay.
