A nationwide consolidation of jobs at Bank of America resulted in the departure of a B of A executive in Reno.
The change means two Las Vegas bank executives will be Nevada regional executives in the bank's consumer banking division.
Bruce Daly will continue to head the bank's operations for Las Vegas and Southern Nevada and Jana Benton, who headed the bank's rural operations from Las Vegas, will relocate to Reno and oversee operations in Northern Nevada.
Benton replaces Sharon Narsesian, who has been with the bank eight years. A B of A spokeswoman said she resigned to pursue other business interests.
Daly and Benton will supervise 36 and 38 branches, respectively, in the consolidation from three to two positions. The two executives will report to Steve Cortopassi, B of A's Southwest consumer executive, based in Phoenix.
Last month, Charlotte, N.C.-based Bank of America Corp. announced it would cut as many as 10,000 jobs nationwide over 12 months to improve earnings and efficiency.
B of A has 2,225 employees at 77 Nevada B of A banking centers.
