LAKE MEAD: Striped bass fishing continues to be very good in the Boulder Basin with anglers catching fish that range from one to three pounds with top water lures.
One of the more productive areas for both shore anglers and boaters has been the 33 Hole. Other areas that have produced stripers recently are Boxcar Cove, Government Wash and Sand Island.
Hot weather and occasional bouts of strong winds have kept fishing activity to a minimum during the past week in the Overton Arm.
Early Monday morning Duane Eldridge III of Las Vegas caught a largemouth bass at St. Thomas Cove that weighed more than five pounds. It was caught with a small top water lure with a spinner.
LAKE MOHAVE: Very few anglers have taken to the water recently because of winds and hot weather. Limited success for small striped bass was found over the weekend near Owl's Point.
