Immunizations
Health district immunization clinics are open each week in and around Las Vegas. Immunizations are provided without charge to children and young adults under the age of 21 in any of four public health centers and 15 satellite clinics. The following clinics will be open this week, August 9 through August 15.
DISTRICT HEALTH CENTER: 625 Shadow Lane, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
HENDERSON PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 129 W. Lake Mead Drive, Building A, Suite 10, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
EAST LAS VEGAS PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 560 N. Nellis Blvd., Suite E12, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
NORTH LAS VEGAS FAMILY HEALTH CENTER: 2225 Civic Center Drive, Suite 240C, 830 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
TONOPAH WIC CLINIC: 5A Tonopah, North Las Vegas, 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Wednesday.
A.D. GUY CLINIC: Boys & Girls Club, 817 N. N St., 10 a.m.-noon p.m. Wednesday.
VONS GROCERY STORE: 7530 W. Lake Mead Blvd., 4-7 p.m. Wednesday.

Safety seminar scheduled Saturday
A safety seminar, Refuse to Be a Victim, scheduled 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, is designed to prepare a personal defense strategy to protect people from becoming victims of violent crimes.
The class, to be held at Cashman Cadillac, 2711 E. Sahara Ave., will offer training in home security, phone security, automobile and physical security. Understanding the psychology of criminal predators is also part of the seminar.
In addition, the seminar covers a broad range of safety measures and options as well as personal protection devices.
The course is $10 and includes a workbook. To sign up or for additional information, call Kent Mason at 225-5253.
