Road construction will cause Strip delays

Clark County officials say the usually clogged traffic on the Las Vegas Strip is going to get worse come January.
That's when construction is scheduled to resume at the corner of Harmon Avenue, just south of the new Aladdin hotel-casino.
Motorists should expect lane restrictions.
The $51 million project will extend Harmon west across the Strip and over Frank Sinatra Drive and Interstate 15.
County officials say the project is a move to reduce congestion the famous Strip. It also will provide another east-west travel route across the busy boulevard.
But officials warn traffic relief won't be felt at the busy Las Vegas Boulevard intersection until early next fall.
