LV firm wins trademark order

A federal judge ordered a Californian man to stop infringing on a Las Vegas Internet firm's trademarks and domain names -- but said he wasn't required to immediately transfer the trademarks and names to the firm.
HelloNetwork.com Inc., which offers Internet-based video streaming and web hosting services, accused Gary Gene Black of cybersquatting -- registering Internet domain names using trademarks that belong to others with the intention of selling back the domain names to the original owners at a profit.
HelloNetwork.com alleged Black created a competing website and registered several competing domain names including "HelloNetwork.net."
U.S. District Judge Johnnie B. Rawlinson issued an injunction Aug. 2 against Black because Black's counsel didn't file a timely response to the lawsuit.
