A Las Vegas woman sued Findlay Automotive Inc. and one of its former salesmen, Waylon Goebel, alleging Goebel harrassed her when she didn't buy a car from him.
In a Clark County District Court lawsuit, Desiree Wood said Goebel, a Toyota salesman, tried to convince her to buy a car from him in January even though she wanted to buy a car from a Ford dealer.
She alleged Goebel violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act when he ran her credit report on Jan. 26 and on May 3, and found out she had gone to a Ford dealership.
The suit claims Goebel downloaded Wood's pictures from the Internet, created pamphlets that had her picture with captions allegedly saying she was a prostitute, and allegedly sent these pamphlets with her home address and phone number to her apartment complex on May 19.
Findlay declined comment.
