Bernstein raps drug proposal
Senate candidate Ed Bernstein has rebuked John Ensign's drug-discount-card proposal, calling the cards a scam.
Bernstein, a Democrat, said the cards have been tried in other states including California, Iowa and Georgia, and have had a poor record.
Bernstein said the cards often fail to deliver on the promised discounts.
Ensign, a Republican, says he supports a Medicare supported drug card plan that he says will significantly reduce drug costs for seniors.
The meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at Main Street Station inside the social club. For more information call 259-1580.
