Lakes Gaming Inc. today announced plans to develop two tribal casinos in California.
The casinos, to be developed on separate, unspecified tribal lands, will be developed in a joint venture with MRD Gaming LLC of Las Vegas. Construction will proceed once the tribes receive regulatory approvals for the casinos, Lakes said.
MRD Gaming is affiliated with Pacific Coast Gaming Corp. of Las Vegas, which has developed tribal casinos near Yuma, Ariz., and Topeka, Kan. The company has separate agreements to develop two additional tribal casinos in California, though company officials declined to identify the tribes or the locations of those casinos.
