Letter: City drags feet on removal of bus shelter

There is a bus shuttle stand at the Boulevard mall, sitting there for seven years, not in use. Bus route No. 112 used to make a stop there, but it was discontinued.

I had written a letter to City Hall, asking them to remove this and put it where it could be used.

I received a phone call (took a long time to call me), and they were under the impression that this shuttle stand had been removed, and that they would make arrangements to get it removed.

I received a letter from City Hall, dated May 22, that the Maintenance Department had been given the order to remove this shuttle stand.

I was at the mall last week and that shuttle stand is still there.
