Back to School Fair to be held at malls

The 12th annual Back to School Fair, co-sponsored by the Clark County School District, the Boulevard mall, and KVBC Channel 3, will be held 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at the Boulevard and Aug. 19-20 at the Meadows mall.
School district staff will be available to answer questions regarding zoning, registration requirements, busing, new construction and special programs.
More than 30 additional participants, such as the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Las Vegas Parks and Recreation Department and Clark County Parks and Recreation, will offer information on after-school and school-break activities for children and families.
UNLV and the Community College of Southern Nevada will provide registration information, and representatives from Nevada Prepaid Tuition Program will also be available.
The Nevada attorney general's office Missing Children's Clearinghouse will fingerprint children free of charge 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.
The Clark County Health District will provide free immunizations. Parents are asked to bring a copy of their child's shot record.
The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District will be available to provide library cards for children and adults, and the Salvation Army will hold a new clothing drive for students in need.
