Adult theater loses ruling at Nevada Supreme Court

CARSON CITY -- The Nevada Supreme Court Thursday rejected the appeal of a movie theater owner whose license was revoked by Clark County for showing X-rated films.
The court said there was sufficient evidence to show that Louise Caplan, who operated Mini Theaters, falsified her application to get a general business license rather than a special permit.
For years Caplan operated an adult theater near McCarran International Airport but her property was condemned by the airport for expansion. She moved to another location and sought a general business license that was granted.
But county officials kept a close watch on the operation for months. "Investigators attended numerous film depictions of explicit sexual interaction by adult performers ..." said the court.
