Coyote Kate's slot parlor, a 9,100-square foot addition in keeping with the cowboy theme of the Wild, Wild West, will open its doors Sept. 1, Bally's Park Place President Kenneth Condon said.
When completed, the addition will link sister property Caesars Atlantic City Hotel Casino with Bally's Park Place and the Wild, Wild West.
Coyote Kate's, located between Arkansas and Michigan avenues, will feature 340 slot machines, ornate Victorian facades and retail stores, including "City Slickers" souvenir shop and "Gold Tooth Gertie's" bagel store.
No new hotel rooms or parking are planned, Condon said.
In a symbolic ceremony, a horse-drawn, Conestoga-style wagon carrying six slot machines and a half-dozen slot technicians dressed as cowboys paraded down the Boardwalk on its way to the casino.
It had Pennsylvania license plates on the back.
"I'm a Philly cowboy!" one of the cowboys called out to passersby, affecting an accent. "How ya doin'?"
As a model portraying Coyote Kate looked on, the cowboys lowered the machines off the back of the converted hay truck and moved them into the casino.
