Vegas low on list of United cancellations
Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000 | 10:47 a.m.
One United Airlines flight from Las Vegas to Los Angeles was canceled today, while two other UA flights to Chicago and San Francisco were delayed because of inclement weather in San Francisco, said McCarran International Airport spokeswoman Debbie Millett.
Millett said Chicago and San Francisco are seeing the bulk of UA's flight cancellations and delays. United Airlines, McCarran's third largest carrier that operates 38 flights daily in Las Vegas, has five daily flights to Chicago.
"The UA flight cancellations have had minimal, if any, impact in Las Vegas. One flight was cancelled over the weekend, but the passengers were all successfully placed with other flights," Millett said. "We're not seeing crowds of passengers waiting to be accommodated."
