Columnist Peter Benton: Discount golf card is on sale now
Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000 | 9:12 a.m.
Peter Benton's golf column appears Wednesday.
Kris Strauss, director of sales for OB Sports, advises that the new 2001 OB Sports "Las Vegas Card" will be on sale during the month of August at the special price of $225.
This card enables the bearer to receive reduced rates on green fees. For the avid golfer, the card could mean a savings of hundreds of dollars.
Cardholders can play the Angel Park courses and the Legacy Golf Club for $50-$55 in the peak season and for $35 during the summer months.
As in previous years, the Las Vegas Card also offers similar savings at OB Sports courses in Mesquite, The Oasis and Palms.
For more information call Angel Park (254-4653) or the Legacy (897-2187).
This year's event, which will have a purse of approximately $30,000, will be played the first day over the 6,722-yard Mountain course at Angel Park, with the second round being contested over the 6,525-yard Palm layout.
Details and entry information are available by calling 610-4076.
