SAN DIEGO -- Canada's International Thunderbird Gaming Corp. said it plans to acquire a 90-percent stake in Costa Rica's privately held Casino Concord.
Neither the terms of the acquisition, which should be completed in September, nor details about the current casino's ownership were disclosed.
Casino Concord is located at the Irazu-Best Western Hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica.
International Thunderbird, which owns and manages gaming facilities, said it is negotiating with other groups concerning two additional gaming business opportunities in Costa Rica. The company didn't elaborate.
International Thunderbird is headquartered in San Diego but trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
