Here were nine well-mannered, reasonable and very intelligent women that sent a message -- you can be all this (and more) and still be ethical and effective. That you can disagree with your colleagues and still be unified in purpose. After all this is our country.
I've already gone out to buy "9 and Counting" at the bookstore. All proceeds go to the Girl Scouts.
Could it be "statesmen" are showing themselves as nine women?
I'm inspired!
