George T. Fisher, 92, of Laughlin died Wednesday in Laughlin. He was born Aug. 10, 1907, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired Lutheran minister.

Mary Jo Golleher

Mary Jo Golleher, 45, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born April 1, 1955, in Denver. A resident for 29 years, she was a retired gaming employee in the credit department.

She is survived by her husband, William; one daughter, Whinney Golleher, two sons, Miles Golleher and Justin Golleher, and her mother, Paula Holden, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Marcia Hinkle of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Kathy Holden and Patricia Holden, both of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Scott Hinkle of Laguna Beach, Calif., Lawrence Holden and Michael Holden, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Spring Valley Assembly of God Church, 7570 W. Peace Way.

Hannah Jean Jones

Hannah Jean Jones, 60, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 4, 1940, in Missouri. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired postal worker.

Donald John Kinsley

Donald John Kinsley, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 18, 1930, in Faulkton, S.D. A resident for 14 years, he was a railroad engineer in Utah for more than 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Beverley; one son, Michael Kinsley of Riverton, Utah; one daughter, Jackie Hammond of Utah; two stepdaughters, Terri Clark of Las Vegas and Tammi Mark of Elgin, Ill.; two sisters, Evelyn Heki of Henderson and Betty Serwin of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Maurice Kinsley of Pinetta, Fla.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Spring Valley Baptist Church, 3135 S. Rainbow Blvd. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Vanessa Vernae Kloeckner

Vanessa Vernae Kloeckner, 15, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 26, 1985, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Mitizi and Lito Nugui, and one brother, Joseph Kloeckner, both of Las Vegas; and her grandfather, Roman Mercado.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Burial will be private.

Howard F. MacKemson

Howard F. MacKemson, 61, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born March 1, 1939, in Texas. A resident for one year, he was a real estate salesman and a veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Christina MacKemson of Las Vegas; one son, Tim MacKemson of Merced, Calif.; and one brother, Austin MacKemson of Texas.

Dolores M. Nunez

Dolores M. Nunez, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 29, 1912, in Texas. A resident for three years, he was a retired foreman in the farming industry.

He is survived by five sons, Ben Nunez, Martin Nunez and Dolores Nunez Jr., all of Las Vegas, Adan Nunez of Pahrump and Art Nunez of Los Angeles; one sister, Sophia Nunez of Texas; two brothers, Edward Nunez of Texas and Ricardo Nunez of Pomona, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mateo A. Ortega Sr.

Mateo A. Ortega Sr., 61, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 1, 1939, in Rotan, Texas. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired hotel waiter.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; four daughters, Anna Johnson, Michaela Taylor and Rayna Chavez, all of Las Vegas, and Elvira Ortega-Carr of Sacramento; five sons, Daniel Canseco of Henderson, Anthony Canseco of Kansas City, Mo., and Mateo Ortega Jr., Michael Ortega and Robert Ortega, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Elvira Nava of Fort Worth, Texas; eight sisters, Joyce Gomez of Copperas Cove, Texas, Margaret Enochian of Gaithersburg, Md., Ella Straw, Lucy Robbins, Trinidad Nava, Elvia Spence and Carolina Nava, all of Fort Worth, and Mary Dapice of Ohio; one brother, Gilbert Ortega of Fort Worth; 32 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 6 p.m. services today in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service.

Turner Fred 'Pete' Roberts

Turner Fred "Pete" Roberts, 70, of Laughlin died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 10, 1929, in California. A resident for several years, he was a boat captain for the Riverside hotel-casino.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara.

Carrie L. Simms

Carrie L. Simms, 94, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 27, 1905, in Mississippi. A resident for several years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Tini Bozeman of Las Vegas.

Joseph Charles Slayton Sr.

Joseph Charles Slayton Sr., 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A gaming industry executive, he was born Oct. 4, 1917, in Groveton, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; one daughter, Elka Carter of Henderson; two sons, Ralph Smith of Las Vegas and Joseph C. Slayton Jr. of Modena, Utah; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday in the LDS chapel at Hollywood and Kell. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Arthur O. Smythe

Arthur O. Smythe, 96, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 12, 1904, in Chicago Heights, Ill. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired railroad ticket agent, volunteered at St. Jude's and the Senior Center in Boulder City and was a member of the Masons for 55 years.

He is survived by one daughter, Marilyn Ann Dart of Henderson; one son, Marlin A. Smythe of Lincoln City, Ore.; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd.

Miriam Inez McGee Swain

Miriam Inez McGee Swain, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Dec. 14, 1914, in Okmulgee, Okla. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired teacher.

She is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline Swain of Las Vegas; one brother, Joseph McGee of Houston; one sister, Teresia Brown of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mary L. Thompson

Mary L. Thompson, 53, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born May 14, 1947, in Epps, La. A resident for 44 years, she was a registered nurse.

She is survived by three daughters, Karen Farmer, Kelli Betts and Kymberly Hines, one son, Marcus Jenkins Sr., her mother, Georgia Thompson, five sisters, Maebell Jefferson, Beatrice Soares, Shelly White, Diane Long and Tena Postell, and four brothers, Johnny Thompson, Odis Thompson, Ronnie Thompson and Fred Thompson, all of Las Vegas; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Julian Walter Wallace

Julian Walter Wallace, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 13, 1912, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired retail manager, a member of Knights of Pythias Chapter 11 and Seniors United and a lifetime member of City of Hope.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Harriette; and two brothers, Dr. Theodore Wallace of Los Angeles and Martin Rock of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Shedrick Washington Jr.

Shedrick Washington Jr., 42, of Las Vegas died July 27 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 16, 1957, in Las Vegas. A resident for five years, he was a hotel cook.

He is survived by one daughter, Shenise Hall Washington of Bay Point, Calif.; five sisters, Sybil Johnson of Vallejo, Calif., Pomey Roy Johnson of Pittsburg, Calif., Ethel L. Powell of Bay Point, Linda McShall Washington of Antioch, Calif., and Lucinda Jackson of Martinez, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
