Smoke added to gray skies

Black smoke from a gasoline tanker crash on U.S. 95 near Flamingo Road spewed unhealthy particles into the air on Wednesday, a Clark County Health District official said, but it wasn't the only source of gray in Las Vegas' skies. Haze from Western wildfires added unhealthful levels of particles to the air as well.
The health district warned those with respiratory problems, heart disease and asthma, as well as the elderly and children, to limit outdoor activities, Air Quality Director Michael Naylor said.
Fires are burning thousands of acres of tinder-dry brush in 10 Western states, including Northern Nevada and Southern California.
