Retailer unveiling House2Home concept in Las Vegas Sept. 9

Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000 | 10:55 a.m.

Home improvement giant HomeBase Inc. of Irvine, Calif., will open two 100,000-square-foot home decorating superstores in Las Vegas and Henderson on Sep. 9.

Homebase's two new House2Home outlets will feature products that fall under four broad categories: outdoor living, indoor living, home decor and seasonal goods.

The stores are at 2260 South Rainbow Blvd. in Las Vegas and 570 North Stephanie St. in Henderson, the former sites of regular HomeBase stores. They were closed in April in preparation of the launch of the new House2Home retailing initiative. Three other Southern California stores are included in the initiative.

HomeBase, which employed a total of 212 people at the two Las Vegas-area locations, plans to hire about 150 workers for each of the two new stores.
