A Las Vegas woman sued a Naples, Fla.-based communications software developer and its president, alleging they failed to pay her $500,000 in company stock for her services as their Las Vegas representative.
In a Clark County District Court suit, Joy Bell accused Spectrafax Corp. and Thomas J. Conwell of misleading her into thinking she would be paid $3,000 a month plus 100,000 shares of Spectrafax common stock at $5 a share.
She said the company reneged on an agreement to compensate her for her services as its local representative, "the use of a furnished executive sales office, publicity, name recognition, communications, contacts, and introductions to local hotels, casinos and Nevada residents."
Spectrafax's Conwell could not be reached for comment.
