Commercial brokers form local society
Friday, April 28, 2000 | 10:58 a.m.
Several Las Vegas-based industrial and office real estate brokers have formed the Southern Nevada chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
Prior to forming their own chapter, the brokers were members of SIOR's Northern Nevada chapter. Brokers said the distance and differences between Northern and Southern Nevada's commercial markets prompted the move.
To join SIOR, office brokers must have brokered $18 million and 36 transactions over the last three years; industrial brokers are required to have closed $24 million and 75 transactions during the same period of time.
Perry Muscelli of brokerage CB Richard Ellis will serve as Southern Nevada chapter president.
SIOR has 2,100 members in 18 countries worldwide.
