Anchor Gaming said its third quarter profit of $16 million or $1.33 per share increased from pro forma results in the year-ago quarter of $13.6 million or $1.11 per share.
Sales increased from a pro forma $115.2 million to $125.5 million.
The year-earlier quarter's results were presented in a pro forma format because of the June 29 acquisition of Powerhouse Technologies Inc.
"We're especially encouraged that EBITDA (cash flow), net income and earnings per share reached their highest levels since the December 1998 quarter," said Chief Executive T.J. Matthews.
Matthews said growth in the third quarter ended March 31 was primarily driven by Anchor's Wheel of Fortune game, which now has an installed base of 3,000 games.
Anchor makes slot machines and runs casinos and slot routes.
