The Community College of Southern Nevada Coyotes baseball team continues to shine, moving up for the third consecutive week in the NJCAA national baseball poll. CCSN is now ranked 13th in the country.
CCSN's walloping of 7th-ranked Dixie College on Tuesday helped boost the Coyotes in this week's poll. At 45-7, CCSN has the best record of the 20 ranked teams.
Dixie College, which did not report its loss to CCSN this week, stayed at No. 7, while Central Arizona College from the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference moved up to No. 6 this week. The Coyotes will be in the ACCAC Region 1 Tournament. The first round will be May 4-6 in Scottsdale, Ariz. It is possible that CCSN could meet Central Arizona in the Region 1 tournament.
Following the first round, the championship bracket will follow from May 11-13, also in Scottsdale. The winner of the ACCAC Region 1 tournament will play against the champion of the Scenic West Athletic Conference Region 18 tournament at the SWAC Champion home field in a best-of-3 series May 19-20. The winner of that series will advance to the NJCAA World Series, to be held May 26-June 3 in Grand Junction, Colo.
