Currently: The first-year Shocker has started 49 of 50 games for her club this season, serving as the primary first baseman for 16-34 Wichita State. She is currently batting .268 -- third-best on the squad -- and has contributed five doubles and 16 RBIs this spring. With just four errors in 280 chances, her fielding percentage of .986 is tops among all Wichita State players.
Looking back: Lupo, an outfielder and first baseman during her prep career, earned four varsity letters with the Gaels. Her batting average of .494 led her Gorman club in 1999, and helped her earn the team's Most Valuable Player award for the second-straight season. After earning second-team All-Sunset honors as a sophomore, she closed out high school with back-to-back first-team selections as a junior and senior.
