Tiffany to seek 5th term
SUN STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS
Assemblywoman Sandra Tiffany, R-Henderson, said Tuesday she would run for a fifth term in District 21.
Tiffany, owner of Human Capital, Inc., a human resource company, is the author of an initiative petition to let voters in Clark County decide to split the school district.
"Many of Henderson improvements were won despite the efforts of other legislators to divert funds to their areas," she said of her fight to secure funding for Henderson.
Sierra Club aid
WASHINGTON -- Hoping to make the environment a bigger political issue, the Sierra Club began an $8 million TV and radio campaign Tuesday aimed at 17 congressional races, including one in Nevada.
The group said it was looking for tight races where it could make a difference. The group is supporting Rep. Shelley Berkley, a first-term Democrat from Southern Nevada. She is being challenged by Republican state Sen. Jon Porter.
