Josie Anderson
Josie Anderson, 55, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 17, 1945, in Birmingham, England. A resident for 55 years, she was a retired hotel food server.
She is survived by two daughters, Joanne Anderson and Neva Marie Roach, and her mother, Peggy Ortner, all of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Joseph Marandola and Terry Morgan, both of California, and Jimmy Marandola of Ohio.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Morris Anderson Jr.
Morris Anderson Jr., 59, of Memphis, Tenn., died April 18. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a supervisor of security at General Motors.
He is survived by three daughters, Demetra Tabbs-Horn of Lake, Miss., Valeria Quarles of Indianapolis and Cherie Cummings of Southfield, Mich.; two sons, Solomon Anderson of Mississippi and Randle Anderson of New Orleans; his mother, Lillian Wesley, and four brothers, Alex Anderson, Edward Anderson, Lee Anderson and Chris Anderson, all of New Orleans; and six sisters, Marion Johnson-Harvey and Gerdie Jenkins-Harvey, both of Louisiana, and Gladys Anderson, Loraine Judson, Nathie L. Williams and Sonja Irthum, all of New Orleans.

Joseph Edward Baker
Joseph Edward Baker, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Denver. A resident for eight years, he was a retired delivery driver for an equipment business and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth; three daughters, Sandy Rogers of Las Vegas, Marry Lively of Sandy Valley and Cindi Pherigo of Harrison, Ark.; three sons, Hudson Baker of Las Vegas, Ward Baker of Denver and Marcus Baker of Thornton, Colo.; one brother, John Baker of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
James B. Cosmano
James B. Cosmano, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 28, 1935, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired automobile sales manager and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; three daughters, Julie Hutchison and Cynthia Peterson, both of Rochester, and Lisa Eberhardt of Webster, N.Y.; four sons, James Cosmano Jr. and Gerard Case, both of Rochester, Ronald Cosmano of Henderson and David Cosmano of Canandaigua, N.Y.; his mother, Angelina Cosmano, and one sister, Deborah Contestable, both of Boca Raton, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive.

Marion B. Curtis
Marion B. Curtis, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday. She was born April 30, 1918, in Page, N.D. A resident for 52 years, she was a retired Clark County School District teacher, a member of Phi Kappa Gamma and a teacher of the year for Clark County in the 1970s.
She is survived by two daughters, Becky Anne Colledge of Las Vegas and Judy Lynne Curtis-Love of Baltimore; one sister, Vivian Gleason of Clackamas, Ore.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.
Michael Paul Gardina Sr.
Michael Paul Gardina Sr., 72, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 2, 1928, in New York. A resident for 10 years, he was a graphic artist and a veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Gardina of Hesperia, Calif., and Steven Gardina of Arcadia, Calif.; one brother, Francis Gardina of Ohio; one sister, Josephine Helmbrick of Butler, Pa.; and two grandchildren.

Daveen R. Holloway
Daveen R. Holloway, 39, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1960, in Allentown, Pa. A resident for 14 years, she was a retail saleswoman.
She is survived by one daughter, Felicia LaVigne, her mother, Florence Clark, and her father, David Holloway, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Gary Graver of Las Vegas and Kenneth Graver of Pennsylvania; and one sister, Diann Patton of Arizona.
Services will be private. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Russell D. Marchand
Russell D. Marchand, 77, of Pahrump died Monday in Pahrump. He was born April 16, 1923, in Indiana. A resident for 10 years, he was an automobile mechanic and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Russell D. Marchand II of Las Vegas; one daughter, Patricia Caldwell of Costa Mesa, Calif.; one niece, Jean Marie Ulrich of Pahrump; and one grandson.

Margaret Sutherland Moore
Margaret Sutherland Moore, 96, of Las Vegas died April 19 in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 25, 1903, in Scotland. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Havery Moore of Florida; and one daughter, Elizabeth Crawford of Henderson.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Florida. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Datis Norton
Datis Norton, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 4, 1925, in St. Louis. A resident for six years, he was a city and county government accountant for 50 years, a World War II Coast Guard veteran, a lifetime member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and a member of the Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna; one daughter, Michele Glover of Michigan; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

David Dean Rocha
David Dean Rocha, 28, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 21, 1971, in Texas. A resident for 11 years, he was a self-employed landscaper.
He is survived by his parents, Cecilia Rocha Garcia of Missouri; two brothers, Gabriel Rocha of California and Humberto Garcia of Missouri; and his grandmother, Ofelia Rocha of California.
Visitation was scheduled until 4 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Quince Charles Sartin Sr.
Quince Charles Sartin Sr., 61, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 16, 1938, in Darvon, Miss. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired carpenter and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet; four daughters, Kathy Greer, Pamela Sartin, Belinda Sartin and Cynthia Sartin, all of Chicago; five sons, Quince C. Sartin Jr., Larry Eugene Sartin and Paul Sartin, all of Chicago, Andre Sartin of Miami and Alex McDowell of Las Vegas; and 30 grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled until 4 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Dolores L. Seller
Dolores L. Seller, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 31, 1929, in Englewood, Colo. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Otto G.; one son, Gregg Seller of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; one daughter, Paula Seller of Las Vegas; one brother, Kenneth R. Crawford Jr. of San Diego; and one grandson.

Marlene E. Shannon, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 25, 1933, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 32 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; four daughters, Vicki Anderson of Anchorage, Alaska, and Gaylene Deal, Bonnie McHugh and Louise Valles, all of Las Vegas; three sons, Glinn Hansen of California, Gaynor Hansen of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Jeff Hansen of Las Vegas; four sisters, Norma Daubert, Dorothy and Bonita McDonald, all of Utah, and Sandra Ward of California; five brothers, Gaylen Cowan, Kaye Cowan, Gus Stanley and Russell, all of Utah, and Nick Stanley of Washington state; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way.

Winifred Spencer, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1920, in Oakhill, Kan. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired medical technician, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, National Genealogical Society, General Society of Mayflower Descendents, Old Plymouth Colony Descendents, National Society of Colonial Dames, National Society of Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims and the Plantagenet Society.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Andrea Stein of Glendora, Calif.; one son, James Spencer of San Lorenzo, Calif.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Bertina G. Teeter, 92, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 25, 1908, in Mexico. A resident for seven months, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Steven Teeter of Elko; one daughter, Harlene Blair of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Winnifred Carroll Thomas
Winnifred Carroll Thomas, 95, of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas died March 25 in a local care center. She was born Aug. 28, 1904, in Hartford, Conn. A resident for 45 years, she was a singer.
She is survived by one stepdaughter, Marjorie Jurden of Dana Point, Calif.
Services and burial will be in New York. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Lee R. Thompson
Lee R. Thompson, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 2, 1921, in West Virginia. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired federal government clerk, a World War II and Korean War Air Force veteran and a lifetime member and founder of the Air Force Sergeants Association.
He is survived by his companion, Maryellen Wendricks of Las Vegas; two sons, Philip Thompson of Gambrills, Md., and Richard Thompson of Loysville, Pa.; and six grandchildren.

Austel Vickers, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 25, 1921, in Georgia. A resident for 50 years, he was a construction worker.
He is survived by his wife, Retha Foster; one son, Robert L. Vickers of Decatur, Ga.; four daughters, Annie L. Maddox of Florvilla, Ga., Jean Vickers of Atlanta and Nellie Powell and Tawanna Foster, both of Las Vegas; six stepchildren, Curtis, Jerry Lockhart and Willie Foster, all of Las Vegas, Nancy Taylor of Houston and Gloria Cooks and Darlene Young, both of San Francisco.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Harrison-Ross. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Roland 'Tex' Watts
Roland 'Tex' Watts, 78, of Las Vegas died April 9 in Anaheim, Calif. He was born Oct. 4, 1921, in Clay County, Ala. A resident for 45 years, he was a rancher in Northern Nevada and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by three brothers, the Rev. Louis Watts and Steve Watts, both of Upland, Calif., and Albert Watts of Bella Vista, Ark.; and two sisters, Rilla Klaye of Sun City, Calif., and Edna Jean Prunty of Las Vegas.
A graveside committal service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Eugenia Jeanette Weber
Eugenia Jeanette Weber, 67, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 24, 1932, in Durand, Mich. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired bank teller.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia; one sister, Delores Combs of Swartz Creek, Mich.; one brother, Thomas Siminski of Durand; and one grandchild.
