Many diseases, such as polio, have been all but eliminated in this country through the advances of medical and scientific research. But there is much work left to do. With the support of Bryan and Reid, as well as others among the leadership in Congress and the White House, the NIH will continue its efforts to improve the quality of life and health for all Americans.
