LV ad firm closes Phoenix office

Thomas Puckett Advertising, a 10-year-old Las Vegas advertising company with 15 employees, is closing its Phoenix office.
"The weight of the world is off my shoulders," said owner Thomas Puckett, who said the office is being closed because the company's primary Arizona client, Phoenix Memorial Hospital, owes money and the company has had difficulty collecting.
The four Phoenix employees were hired by one of Puckett's vendors, HMI Direct, Tempe.
Puckett said closing the Phoenix office will allow him to focus more on accounts serviced from Las Vegas, which include IGT, AT&T Wireless, UNLV and 250 offices of Colliers International.
Puckett said the Phoenix office was open for just over three years and was never as profitable as initially envisioned.
