Sondra Badeker

Sondra Badeker, 65, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1934, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired hotel administrator.

She is survived by three sons, Howard Badeker and David Todd, both of Las Vegas, and Scott Badeker of Los Angeles; two daughters, Joy Badeker and Wendy Todd, both of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Robert Bartlett

Robert Bartlett, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 28, 1920, in Canada. A resident for many years, he was a chemical engineer for a petroleum company.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Joan Bartlett of Santa Rosa, Calif.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Santa Rosa. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

James Murphy Battle

James Murphy Battle, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 22, 1935, in North Carolina. A resident for many years, he was a real estate salesman.

He is survived by one sister, Betty Gibbs of Raleigh, N.C.

Harold Bless

Harold Bless, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A chemical company engineer, he was born April 25, 1924, in New York.

He is survived by his wife, Millie; one son, Michael Bless of New York; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Deborah Crawford

Deborah Crawford, 38, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. A guest room attendant, she was born Oct. 16, 1961, in West Point, Miss.

She is survived by one daughter, Charmaine Nelon, and one son, Stevie Nelon, both of Las Vegas; six brothers, Adolph Crawford, Wheeler Crawford and Larry Crawford, all of West Point, Darnell Crawford of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Jimmie Crawford of Kansas City, Mo., and Early Ford Jr. of Connecticut; four sisters, Dorothy Edwards of West Point, Sara Crawford and Jackie Fletcher, both of Las Vegas, and Diane Crawford of Atlanta.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Dana M. Edwards

Dana M. Edwards, 44, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 12, 1956, in Fort Walton, Fla. A resident for six months, he was an automotive salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; one son, Bryce Carver Edwards of Las Vegas; two daughters, Jamie Lynn Edwards of Texas and Jennifer Edwards of Missouri; his mother, Merrelle Martin of Florida; and one sister, Donna Prychodke of Ohio.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be private. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Jose Altabano Escober

Jose Altabano Escober, 54, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born June 19, 1945, in the Philippines. A resident for three years, he was a utility porter for a local casino.

He is survived by three brothers, Roberto Escober of Hawaii, Ernesto Escober of Long Beach, Calif., and Enrique Escober of Phoenix; and three sisters, Susan DeLacruz and Eva Berutti, both of Las Vegas, and Elizabeth Randal of San Diego.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Friday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Hites Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Lillian M. Fittanto

Lillian M. Fittanto, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 6, 1923, in Chicago. A resident for 21 years, she was a retired electric company supervisor.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel; four stepsons, Jesse Fittanto of Bartlett Park, Ill., Joseph Fittanto of Chicago, Nicholas Fittanto of Illinois and Daniel Fittanto of Alsip, Ill.; two brothers, Henry Kosinar of Berwyn, Ill., and Louis Fittanto of Chicago; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Viola Fay Flanigan

Viola Fay Flanigan, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 13, 1924, in Blythe, Calif. A resident for 31 years, she was retired from the real estate industry, was a chief right-of-way agent for the city of Las Vegas, an employee of the Henderson Home News and the Las Vegas Review-Journal, past president and five times international director for International Right-of-Way Association Chapter 44, first women's president of a local chapter of Ducks Unlimited in Las Vegas, a charter member of Tuesday Mourners Club of Toastmasters and a member of Review Appraisers of America.

She is survived by two daughters, Denice Fay Bivens of Center, Wash., and Geanie Flanigan of Medford, Ore.; two brothers, Bob Hughes of Lewiston, Idaho, and Harry Hughes of Modesto, Calif.; three sisters, Lillie Dalebout of Priest River, Idaho, Evelyn Lozier of Pasco, Wash., and Mary Tolman of Reno; four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-1 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Robert W. Horstman

Robert W. Horstman, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born June 9, 1922, in Princeton, Minn. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired law enforcement supervisor, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Elks, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Shriners.

He is survived by three brothers, William Horstman of Las Vegas and Gary Horstman and Gerry Horstman, both of Los Angeles; and two sisters, Lois Kearns of Las Vegas and Lou Ann Person of New York City.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 2620 Regatta Drive, Suite 206. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Dr. Christopher Kim

Dr. Christopher Kim, 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 26, 1941, in Korea. A resident for many years, he was a physician.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Stephen Lopata

Stephen Lopata, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 7, 1917, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired carpenter.

He is survived by his companion, Elaine Gerard of Las Vegas; one son, Robert J. Lopata of Van Nuys, Calif.; one brother, William Lopata of Florida; two sisters, Margaret Paharik and Stephenie Yumin, both of Pittsburgh; and one grandchild.

Norma E. Loveland

Norma E. Loveland, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. A secretary, she was born March 25, 1922, in California.

She is survived by one son, Jim Judd of San Francisco; and two sisters, Barbara Foss and Gloria Barreau, both of Las Vegas.

La Shana Latrice Newman

La Shana Latrice Newman, 18, of Las Vegas died April 11 in San Diego. She was born July 24, 1981, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a student.

She is survived by her mother, Bobbie Smith, her father, Johnnie Newman, one sister, Crystal L. Newman, three brothers, Joshua, Johnnie Newman and Demetris Mill, and his two grandmothers, Rosie Smith and Jimmie Lee, all of Las Vegas; and his grandfather, Henry Lee Stewart of Louisiana.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Church of the Lord Jesus, 1260 W. Bartlett Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Ina Alice Parker

Ina Alice Parker, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 3, 1931, in Chicago. A resident for one year, she was a retired actress, a member of the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin; four sons, Daniel Parker of Caldwell, Idaho, Martin Parker of San Jacinto, Calif., Edward Leonard of Leesburg, Va., and William Bogart of Tujunga, Calif.; two daughters, Cynthia Edington of Palmdale, Calif., and Dorothy Shuler of Hollywood, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

John A. Policano

John A. Policano, 62, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 14, 1937, in New York City. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired restaurant manager and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; one sister, Peggy Weiskopf of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Joseph Policano of Las Vegas and Vincent Policano of New York state.

Maria V. Vazquez Sanchez, 34, of Las Vegas died April 13 in Las Vegas. She was born July 27, 1965, in Mexico. A resident for 10 years, she was a hotel waitress.

She is survived by her husband, Baldeman Vasquez; her father, Evaristo Sanchez, her mother, Maria Cruz Vilchis, and two brothers, Margarito Sanchez and Jose Sanchez, all of Mexico; and three sisters, Elodia Sanchez and Virginia Sanchez, both of Las Vegas, and Maria Guadualupe Sanchez of Mexico.

Nanette Sissom, 44, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 27, 1955, in Hawaii. A resident for three years, she was an electrical technician and an Air Force veteran.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; two daughters, Elizabeth Sissom and Christine Sissom, both of Las Vegas; her father and stepmother, Bernardo and Grace Benigno of Mililani, Hawaii; her mother, Laura Tabisola Lee of Wahiawa, Hawaii; five brothers, David Benigno of Las Vegas and Van Benigno, Damian Benigno, Bernardo Benigno and Gabriel Benigno, all of Wahiawa; and five sisters, Gail King of Mission Viejo, Calif., Lydia Auge of Puyallup, Wash., Bernadette Benigno of Honolulu, Jannifer Lankford of Lebanon, Pa., and Susan Lucka of Las Vegas.

Frank Stotts, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Livonia, Mo. A resident for eight years, he was a retired basketball coach for high school and college students, an Army veteran and a member of the Elks.

He is survived by his wife, Teruko H.; three sons, Terry Stotts of Milwaukee, Mark Stotts of Guam, and Arlyn Stotts of Phoenix; one daughter, Audrey Stotts of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sisters, Betty Stotts of Watsonville, Calif., and Patsy Halverson of Marshalltown, Iowa; and two grandchildren.

Charles J. Wycoff, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 9, 1935, in Chester, W.Va. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired police officer.

He is survived by two daughters, Lynette Twomey of Las Vegas and Susan Sarna of Long Beach, Miss.; two sons, Scott Wycoff of Maude, Texas, and Bruce Wycoff of Gulfport, Miss.; his mother, Mary Wycoff of Chester; two sisters, Jean Maxwell of Youngstown, Ohio, and Pat Mikita of Cleveland; one brother, Terry Wycoff of East Liverpool, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
