BASEBALL
Green Valley 10, Skyline (Utah) 0: Brice Sells and Zack Dittler combined on five-hit shutout as the Gators improved to 2-0 at the Lion's Club Invitational in San Diego. Garrett Guzman went 2-for-4 with an RBI and David Krynzel went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Green Valley.
Cheyenne 10, Santana (Calif.) 8: Gabe Sakai hit a seventh-inning homer to lift the Desert Shields to victory in the adidas Invitational. Adam Lesko and Sean Collins combined to go 4-for-7.
Foothill 12, Las Vegas (split) 11: Jabe Beard went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two doubles to help the Falcons to a win in the Foothill Invitational.
Clark 17, Centennial 13: Fernando Moreno went 3-for-4 with a home run and a pair of RBIs to lead the Chargers in the Foothill Invitational. Jordan Block also went 3-for-4, adding three RBIs and two doubles, while Alexis Rivera was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer.
Bishop Gorman 5, Valley 0: James Parker and Matt Peters combined on a six-hit shutout and struck out a total of 10 batters in a non-league win. J.C. Sibley went 2-for-3 with a double and Gabe Lapito was 2-for-4 for the Gaels.
SOFTBALL
Las Vegas 14, Douglas 12: Adrianne Page was 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs and Cali Marquez went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs to lead the Wildcats to a win in the Fred Davison Memorial Tournament.
Las Vegas 8, Coronado (Calif.) 0: Rachel Hirsch tossed six innings of four-hit softball and Adrianne Page went 3-for-3 with a two-run home run to lead the Wildcats to their second win of the day.
