Passenger count up at McCarran

The number of passengers arriving and departing McCarran International Airport increased 10.4 percent last month, according to new figures released Tuesday.
The passenger count rose to 3,277,690 in March, compared to 2,969,164 for the same month last year.
For the year, the number of passengers arriving and departing McCarran increased 9.8 percent, from 8,001,476 to 8,785,420.
Southwest Airlines posted the highest increase among airlines serving Las Vegas, up 10.7 percent over March 1999. America West followed with a 4 percent increase and Delta had an increase of 3.8 percent.
American was down 12.9 percent, followed by United Airlines with a 1 percent decrease.
