Willie Beck

Willie Beck, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 1, 1925, in Greenville, Miss. A resident for 37 years, he was a sanitation worker for Silver State Disposal Service and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; one daughter, Valerie Beck, and one brother, George Orange, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. James Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Lloyd E. Cook

Lloyd E. Cook, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Los Angeles. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired finance manager for an aviation firm and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Philip Cook, and his companion, Rosemarie Triplett, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Uldine Stephens of LaVerne, Calif.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Edith Dapron

Edith Dapron, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born June 26, 1914, in Rector, Ark. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired fashion designer.

She is survived by one son, William Carroll II of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Debra A. Davis

Debra A. Davis, 45, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born March 15, 1955, in Fontana, Calif. A resident for 31 years, she was an office manager for a veterinary hospital and a member of Spring Mountain Freetrappers.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Jr.; three daughters, Cassie Trousdale, Tara Davis and Krista Davis, her parents, Jane and Bob Leach, and one brother, Louis Bonchosky, all of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Henry S. Edwards

Henry S. Edwards, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 1, 1908, in Jonesville, Va. A resident for 20 years, he was a tobacco farmer.

He is survived by two brothers, Ora Edwards and Miller Edwards, both of Jonesville; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Vickie Lynn Ehrenberg

Vickie Lynn Ehrenberg, 44, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 29, 1955, in Indianapolis. A resident for 24 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, William Thomas Ehrenberg; two sons, Kellen Thomas Ehrenberg and Bryce MacRae Ehrenberg, both of Las Vegas; her father, Carl Davis, one brother, Ronnie Davis, and one sister, Patty Ann Davis, all of Louisville, Ky.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Louise Gregoris

Louise Gregoris, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 22, 1912, in Udina, Italy. A resident for 13 years, she was a floral arranger.

She is survived by one daughter, Marie Henderson of Las Vegas; one sister, Maria Gregoris of Italy; two brothers, Angelo Gregoris of Wellington and Benito Gregoris of France; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. Thursday in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 2240 E. Calvada Blvd. Graveside services will be in California.

William H. Green Jr.

William H. Green Jr., 87, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 3, 1913, in Garland, Ark. A resident for 28 years, he was a pit boss.

He is survived by his wife, Ola "Peggie"; one son, Bartley Green of Las Vegas; three daughters, Cynthia Baumann of Henderson and Mary Green and Angela Didier, both of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. services Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Lucky Hayden

Lucky Hayden, 61, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 16, 1938, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 20 years, he was a truck driver for 30 years and a Korean War Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two sons, Lucky Hayden Jr. and Paul Walsh, both of Las Vegas; one daughter, Teresa Medina of North Las Vegas; two sisters, Cloeann Taylor of Arkansas and Kitty Hurley of North Carolina; and one brother, Eugene Hayden of California.

Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Benjamin F. Hays Sr.

Benjamin F. Hays Sr., 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 18, 1915, in Lone Rock, Wis. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired truck driver, a World War II Marine Corps veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; two daughters, Susan Kluck and Sandy Skusevitch, both of Stevens Point, Wis.; two sons, Benjamin Franklin Hayes II of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Benjamin Leroy Hats of Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Joseph Frank Kaufman

Joseph Frank Kaufman, 43, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 13, 1956, in Pennsylvania. A resident for several months, he was a maintenance engineer.

He is survived by his parents, Carl and Lucille Kaufman of Pennsylvania; and one sister, Anne Beard of Scottsdale, Ariz.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Pennsylvania. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Marge Magdalen Kuhlmey

Marge Magdalen Kuhlmey, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 18, 1916, in Minneapolis. A resident for 26 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, LeRoy; one daughter, Sandra Sheilds of Las Vegas; two sons, Rick of Las Vegas and Brad of Dolan Springs, Ariz.; one sister, Angie Sienko of Ocotillo, Calif.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Audrey Mae Kuhn

Audrey Mae Kuhn, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born April 11, 1931, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 11 years, she was an executive secretary for a certified public accountant and a member of Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary Post 30.

She is survived by her husband, Mitchell; four sons, Mark Sokolsky, Miles Kuhn, Steven Kuhn and Larry Kuhn; one daughter, Ashley Nagel; one sister, Phyllis Maretsky; and nine grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Albert Lee

Albert Lee, 48, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 5, 1951, in China. A resident for 33 years, he owned Lotus Chinese Restaurant and was a floorman at the Golden Nugget.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; one daughter, Michelle Lee, and one son, Garrick Lee, both of Henderson; and three sisters, Carolyn Lima, Diana Lee and Elaine Lee, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Melvin F. Miller

Melvin F. Miller, 62, died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 1, 1938, in Bendena, Kan. A resident for eight years, he was involved in finance.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine; three daughters, Angela M. Miller and Doris M. Miller, both of Las Vegas, and Gena L. Mulford of St. Marys, Kan.; four sons, Melvin F. Miller Jr., of Washington state, Mark E. Miller of Lubbock, Texas, and James A. Miller and Brett E. Miller, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Charles W. Miller of Independence, Mo.; one sister, Mary M. Simmons of Leona, Kan.; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Thursday at American Burial & Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services are scheduled 10 a.m. Friday at American Burial, followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Brian Wayne Neel

Brian Wayne Neel, 20, of Las Vegas died Monday in Ivin, Utah. A lifelong resident, he was a head installer of custom stereo systems for Crazy Bob's in St. George, Utah, a 1997 graduate of Chaparral High School, attended Dixie College in Ivin, was an Eagle Scout with Silver Palm and a spring board diving competitor.

He is survived by his parents, James C. and Patricia K. Neel, and two sisters, Jamie Fagg and Brandee Neel, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, Sean Neel of Manhattan Beach, Calif., James P. Neel of Provo, Utah, and Stephen Neel of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, James and Frances Neel of Fort Worth, Texas, and Lois Kelley of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. A prayer service will be 9 a.m. Thursday in the LDS Viking Ward, 3901 E. Viking Road. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Pedro M. Ortiz Sr.

Pedro M. Ortiz Sr., 80, of Logandale died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 29, 1919, in Gonzales, Texas. A resident for 51 years, he was a retired Clark County School District custodian.

He is survived by his wife, Marta; five daughters, Paulita Ortiz of Logandale, Juanita Marcial and Esther Anchonda, both of Overton, Maria Ortega of Sandy Valley and Jany Robinson of Las Vegas; eight sons, Cruz Ortiz of Rio Bravo, Mexico, Frank Ortiz of Avondale, Ariz., Aurelio Ortiz, Ernesto Ortiz, Pedro Ortiz Jr. and Jose Ortiz, all of Las Vegas, Cenovio Ortiz of Logandale and David Ortiz of Fort Collins, Colo.; three sisters, Petra Reyes of Ogden, Utah, Julia Garza of Mirage, Ariz., and Francisca Cordova of Rio Bravo; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Florence E. Orton

Florence E. Orton, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 28, 1913, in Chicago. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her companion, Frank Levell of Las Vegas.

Jeanne Parker

Jeanne Parker, 76, of Carson City died Friday in Carson City. She was born May 28, 1923, in Mississippi. A former Las Vegas resident for 40 years until 1991, she was a retired manager at the Tropicana.

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Jochim of Carson City and Sherilyn Rorie of Moraga, Calif.; two sons, Douglas Parker and John Parker, both of Nevada; three sisters, Lil Dronet of Las Vegas and Anne Thweatt and Barbara Sharpe, both of North Carolina; one brother, Buddy Thweatt of New York; and six grandchildren.

Capitol City Cremation and Burial Society, Carson City, is handling arrangements.

Patricia Helen Peak

Patricia Helen Peak, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 17, 1921, in Baltimore. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired government secretary and a volunteer at the Las Vegas Art Museum.

She is survived by three sons, Eddie Peak, Danny Peak and Jerry Peak, all of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Leonard J. Pedersen

Leonard J. Pedersen, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 12, 1927, in Minneapolis. A resident for nine years, he was a retired accountant for Hunt Wesson Foods, a Navy veteran and a member of the Toy Train Collector group.

He is survived by his wife, Sophie D.; his mother, Alma S. Pedersen, and one brother, Ronald J. Pedersen, both of Minneapolis.

Raymond A. Perrill, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 24, 1921, in Wilson, Kan. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired elementary school music teacher, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; four daughters, Barbara Kanouse and Susan Stordeur, both of Las Vegas, Patricia Tapper of Kenosha, Wis., and Sandy Stratton of Valencia, Calif.; two sisters, Marjorie Hahn of Sky Valley, Calif., and Neva Haney of Butler, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Bob Sterling, 60, of Las Vegas died April 12 in a local hospital. He was born April 29, 1939, in Albany, N.Y. A resident for 14 years, he owned and operated a home remodeling company.

He is survived by one daughter, Susan M. Vaughn of Queensbury, N.Y.; two sons, Mark Sterling of Albany and Bruce Sterling of Cossayuna, N.Y.; one brother, Charles Sterling of Guilderland, N.Y.; one sister, Marge Lamond of East Greenbush, N.Y.; and 10 grandchildren.

Bobbie Thompson-Hill

Bobbie Thompson-Hill, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1913, in Alabama. A resident for 18 months, she was a retired rancher.

She is survived by one daughter, Sylvia June Ehrlich, and one son, Gilbert Rivero, both of Las Vegas; one brother, J.O. Lowery of Friarson, La.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Raymond Thurston, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 30, 1928, in Chicago. A resident for 27 years, he was a poker dealer at the Stardust, Bally's and the Las Vegas Hilton.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene.
